World Trade Center Page

I grew up in the Red Hook neighborhood of Brooklyn.  The photo below is the view of the WTC from the docks where I used to play as a kid.  I watched the towers being built from the site preparation through completion.  A number of friends and relatives worked in the WTC throughout the years.  Some still worked there on the day of the attack.  Some friends and relatives witnessed the attacks and aftermath first hand, and some were involved in the rescue attempts.

Papers and ash from the Twin Towers fell on Red Hook after the buildings collapsed.  Twenty-three people who graduated from my high school were killed in the attack, including one classmate and one team mate (see story below).

Bob Murach, a fraternity brother and high school and college teammate was killed in the World Trade Center:

Our high school lost 23 alumni in the World Trade Center.  Ironically, many of the faculty were on the roof of the school, watching the fire in the first tower when the second plane flew directly overhead on its fatal flight.  A list of the 23:
